Sohini Mandal is a law graduate from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, enrolled with the Bar Council of Karnataka and is currently heading the private equity team as an Associate Partner in NovoJuris Legal. NovoJuris Legal is an innovative new age law-firm, where clients leverage on update, in-depth knowledge to adapt to evolving business environment. With nearly a decade of its presence, NovoJuris Legal has worked with numerous high impact technology companies, large corporates, high growth startups and disruptive business models, supporting through various stages of growth, governance and exits, both in and outside India.

Sohini’s primary focus in NovoJuris Legal is on private equity and corporate law. She has handled more than 100 private equity transactions over the last couple of years, where she has represented both companies and investors, at various stages of seed, angel and institutional rounds of investment.

Sohini Mandal has also handled multiple legal and compliance related advisory projects, employee stock option/management stock option/advisory pool structuring, creation and execution related assignments. She has also worked on a number of acqui-hire, asset purchase, share swap, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and exit oriented transactions. In her earlier avatar as an in-house counsel, Sohini had been engaged in the fields of general corporate advisory, tax and contractual matters, risk assessment and dispute resolution.
