Profile

Marilia has over 17 years of quality and regulatory compliance experience. In 2011, she became a Senior Director in the Johnson & Johnson Regulatory Compliance organization with responsibility for Information Technology (IT) areas and Supply Chain Distribution Centers. She leads a team of Compliance Directors and Professionals who oversee adherence to J&J Quality Standards and global Health Authority regulations; execute internal quality audits and technology supplier audits; support Health Authority inspections; develop compliance strategies for emerging technology areas, such as Software as a Medical Device; and partner with regulators and life sciences industry peers to shape the regulatory environment.

Prior to her current role, she held various Quality Assurance positions within Johnson & Johnson and spent five years in the J&J Corporate Internal Audit group. Her experience spans a broad range of areas, including internal cGMP audits; supplier audits; computer system validation; and Quality Systems.

Prior to joining J&J, Marilia was a Quality Manager in the industrial and residential construction sector responsible for supplier quality and leading Six Sigma and Lean initiatives to reduce quality defects.

Marilia is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a graduate of the J&J Executive Quality Leadership Program. She holds a degree from the Rutgers University School of Business.
