About the award

InnoHEALTH is back with the sixth segment of Young innovators award 2023. The theme of this years conference is CLINICAL VALIDATION OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES.

With this preamble, to celebrate and encourage innovation, particularly in the healthcare sector, InnovatioCuris Foundation of Healthcare and Excellence has decided to promote young minds pertaining to healthcare and innovation.

Eligibility criteria

Below 35 years of age as on 25 November 2023.

Procedure

  • Fill in your nomination
  • The deadline for nominations is 25th NOVEMBER 2023
  • Once we receive nominations, the jury will shortlist candidates from the nomination pool
  • The shortlisted candidates will be announced on 30th NOVEMBER 2023 via email and on this webpage
  • The shortlisted candidates will then be invited to the InnoHEALTH 2023 conference being held on 15-16 DECEMBER 2023 to give their final presentation in the presence of our jury who will evaluate your healthcare innovation

Nirmal Bengani

Mr. Bengani has an impressive academic background, earning a Bachelor’s Degree from the prestigious Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore. In addition, he is a professional member of the Association of Computing Machinery, USA. He is also a WIPO Certification in Patents from Geneva, Switzerland. He has also done an MDP program in Digital Libraries from IIM Kozhikode and ISO 9000:2000 Diploma from the Indian Institute of Quality Management, Jaipur.

He has widely traveled within India and abroad and done business with diverse clients – across Academic, Corporate, and Government funded projects over 23 years.

Currently, he is working as Head – of Business Development and Partnership at iHub Anubhuti IIIT Delhi and has collaborated with MAX Healthcare, AICTE, Shoolini University,Health Parliament, Bennett University, and NIMS University. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Bengani served in various leadership positions in RELX ELSEVIER – Health Science Division(ClinicalKey). He has worked in Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers, National Geographic Learning (Cengage), EDUTECH India, LexisNexis India, and iGroup Asia Pacific, Singapore.

Dr. Shirshendu Mukherjee

Dr Shirshendu Mukherjee, trained as Medical Microbiologist and has Global and national exposure with more than two decades of high level work experience in top organisations, which helps to bring to fore cumulative perspectives on issues related to healthcare (especially public health issues and unmet medical needs), food and nutritional challenges in India as well as across the globe, he has devised and formulated strategies for mitigating challenges and bridging gaps through impact funding.

He has worked independently as well as with multitudes of partners (both national & international) for a complete oversight of cutting edge translational research and deep understanding of issues that impinge up on national and global translational research. He has deep knowledge in pharmaceuticals, bio-pharmaceuticals and med-tech industry globally.

Before joining Wellcome Trust as Senior Strategic Advisor, (India), Dr Mukherjee was Staff Scientist at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology(ICGEB). Dr Mukherjee, works on the India Initiative of Wellcome Trust and manages the R&D for Affordable Healthcare In India, a £30 million Initiative of the Wellcome Trust in India. The Initiative funds translation research leading to affordable healthcare solution in India and beyond. Presently Dr Mukherjee is the Mission Director, of the Program Management Unit of BIRAC, which manages the Grand Challenges Program of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and also the Affordable Healthcare in India Initiative of the Wellcome Trust.

Dr Mukherjee holds Ph.D. in Microbiology, Law graduate, Advance Course in Strategy Management form IIM Kolkata and management and leadership course form Said Business school university of Oxford.

Cdr Gaurav Sharma

Cdr Gaurav Sharma is a serving Naval Officer, presently posted at IIT Delhi as Project Officer. He is an alumnus of National Defence Academy and was commissioned in Jul 2001. He completed his M.Tech from IIT Delhi in 2010 in Radio Frequency Design and Technology (Underwater Signal Processing) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute on Management Studies in 2015. He has held various challenging appointments in the Indian Navy and has over 22 years of experience in technical management, IT, weapons and Naval Electronics Systems. In his present appointment, he has been involved with identifying useful innovations at IIT Delhi in various fields and thereafter supporting these innovations through sponsored projects by Indian Navy. He is also a passionate sportsman and a keen reader.

Prof. Saurabh Gupta

Prof. Saurabh Gupta is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering in NIT Raipur. He is a graduate in Biomedical Engineering and PhD in the area of Optical Tomography from IISc Bangalore. His teaching and primary areas of research are inverse problems, medical imaging, monte carlo simulations and telemedicine. Also, the part of his research is to work for government initiatives in Healthcare.
