Sharad Kumar is currently an Engineering Director at NXP India Pvt. Ltd. He has been a technologist for over 20 years primarily in semiconductor chip design with work stints in the US and India. He has a BE from NSIT, Delhi, an MS from Michigan State University, Michigan and a Management degree from MIT, Boston.
He has published several journal articles and been a speaker at several conferences like the Design Automation Conference (DAC) and Design Automation and Test in Europe (DATE). Sharad Kumar has had long research collaborations with Stanford university and IIT Delhi.
His recent interests are in Machine Learning and Healthcare. Over the past year, he has collaborated with several top dermatologists, particularly at AIIMS, New Delhi to release a mobile phone application called DermaAID (on Google play store) that can effectively diagnose 20 skin diseases based on a single phone camera image. Over the next year, the plan is to target 100 plus disease classes. He is also collaborating with some NGOs in this regard.
