Prof. Venkataramanaiah Saddikuti
Dr. S. Venkataramanaiah is a distinguished Professor in the Operations and Supply Chain Management area at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow, with approximately 27 years of experience in teaching and research. His academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Operations Management from Anna University, Chennai, an M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering from NIT Calicut, and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
Before joining IIM Lucknow in May 2013, he held academic positions at IIM Kozhikode and IIM Indore, where he also served as the Coordinator of the Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing. Dr. Venkat’s career is marked by significant international experience, including being a Fulbright Scholar at W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, USA, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Singapore-MIT Alliance Program.
His current research interests are vital and interdisciplinary, covering Supply Chain Modeling, Healthcare Supply Chains, Operations Scheduling with energy efficiency, and e-procurement. He has a prolific publication record, with over 20 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and around 50 papers in international conferences. Additionally, he has extensive consulting experience, leading projects for major organizations like Honeywell, Tata Motors, and the e-procurement at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). He teaches specialized courses such as Global Supply Chain Management and Healthcare Operations Management.
