Dr. Sandeep Bhalla
Dr. Sandeep Bhalla is a highly experienced Public Health Specialist and currently serves as the Associate Vice President-Projects at ECHO India, where he oversees nationwide health operations and the expansion of the ECHO model. He is a distinguished alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, holding an MBBS and a post-graduate MD and DNB in Community Medicine.
With over 20 years of experience in public health, Dr. Bhalla has been instrumental in the implementation and management of major health programs across India. His previous tenure at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) saw him lead the Training Division, where he upgraded the skills of over 35,000 healthcare professionals through various programs. He has also held critical roles with organizations such as the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO).
Dr. Bhalla is an accomplished professional and thought leader, evidenced by his Fellowship in Leadership and Implementation Sciences for addressing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). He is a recipient of several national and international accolades, including awards from ASSOCHAM and FICCI for excellence in skill development and healthcare. Furthermore, he contributes to quality control in healthcare as an Assessor for NABH and QCI, and has authored around 40 publications, cementing his status as a pivotal figure in the Indian public health sector.
