Grp. Captain Dr. Rajiv Pathni
Dr. Rajiv Kumar Pathni is a highly accomplished healthcare leader and military veteran, currently serving as an Advisor in the Quality Improvement Division at the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC). With over 36 years of distinguished healthcare leadership, Dr. Pathni’s career includes a notable commission in the Indian Air Force starting in 1989.
His academic background is robust, featuring a Masters in Hospital Administration from AIIMS (New Delhi) and a prestigious WHO Fellowship to study at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (UK). He is also comprehensively trained in Business Management (IIFT) and various accreditation standards (NABH, NQAS, JCI, Kayakalp).
Dr. Pathni possesses extensive public health and leadership experience at nodal, regional, and national levels. He previously steered the Assam Cancer Care Foundation—a comprehensive cancer care project involving 19 hospitals—at the invitation of the Tata Trusts. His technical areas of expertise include public health, global health, artificial intelligence, medical logistics, and digital health. An active academic, he has numerous publications and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Healthcare Management Standards.
