Lt. Col. Sandhya V. Nair
Lt. Col. Sandhya V. Nair is a highly accomplished Senior Nursing Superintendent and Head of the Training Department at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. She brings 29 years of extensive experience, including service as a Veteran in the Armed Forces. Her expertise spans several critical areas, including Neuro Matron (NIMHANS), Transplant Nurse, Transplant Coordinator, and Transplant Educator. She holds an MBA in Hospital Management.
Throughout her distinguished career, Lt. Col. Nair has received numerous accolades, such as the Chief of Army Staff citation twice (2013 & 2014) and the Presidential Citation By The Society of Neuro Critical Care (2022 & 2025). She was also honored with the Swami Narayan Award for best transplant coordinator from NATCO (2018) and the Asia Pacific Excellence Award in woman super achiever (2021).
Her passion lies in Organ Donation, Nephrology & Transplantation, Training & Development, and Quality Assurance. She has several publications, including one on the “Demography of brain stem death and factors leading to successful consent for organ donation”. She is scheduled to participate in a conference titled “TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP: HARNESSING COLLABORATION FOR HEALTHIER INDIA” in May 2025.
