Prof. (Dr.) Raminder Kalra
Dr. (Prof.) Raminder Kalra is the Principal of the Holy Family College of Nursing in New Delhi, bringing over 38 years of experience to the field of Nursing Education and Administration. She is a highly qualified professional with an M.Sc. in Nursing, a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing from the University of Delhi, and a Ph.D. in Nursing from IGNOU.
Her distinguished career is marked by a strong passion for quality nursing education and a focus on strengthening clinical skills. Dr. Kalra has been widely recognized for her academic excellence, having been awarded the President’s Gold Medal for Excellence in Master of Nursing and the RULA Ratna Research Award 2019 for outstanding research in Community Psychiatric Nursing.
As a renowned academic, she serves as an examiner for M.Sc. and B.Sc. Nursing examinations for multiple prominent universities across India. Her expertise extends to public health, where she is a Master Trainer for both HIV AIDS and Elderly care & Palliative care. Dr. Kalra is also a dedicated researcher, having authored book chapters, including one on ‘Therapeutic Community in treatment of Substance Use Disorder’ for a WHO manual, and publishing numerous articles in national and international journals, contributing significantly to the literature on elder abuse, mental health, and nursing professionalism.
