He is an alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, having received his graduate and post-graduate medical degrees from the prestigious institute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;margin: 0px 0px 0px 98px\">In 1977, Brig Lal took charge of Dr Lal Path Labs, the medical diagnostics laboratory founded in 1949 by his late father. Under his expert guidance and leadership, Dr Lal Path Labs (LPL) has become one of the most reputed laboratories in Asia. Having to its credit quality accreditations from various national and international bodies. Currently they operate over 172 labs including Asia\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s biggest lab at Rohini. New Delhi with 1,500 collection centres and pick-up samples from another 7,000 medical establishments all over India. He is currently the Senior Vice President of NATHEALTH, Healthcare Federation of India. He is also an active member of other Healthcare Committees in various Chambers of Commerce. Dr Lal appointed as the Honorary Physician to the President of India in 2001.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;margin-top: 0px\">He invited as the Keynote Speaker at IIM- Ahmedabad and also by the Harvard Business School, USA. Conferred with the Padma Shri, Brig Lal also the first civilian doctor to be granted an honorary Brigadier\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s rank in Armed Forces Medical Services.
