Dr Rajiv Yeravdekar has completed his Masters in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from B J Medical College, Pune & was awarded the Gold Medal for his outstanding academic performance. Dr Rajiv has been awarded Ph.D. under the Faculty of Management by Savitribai Phule University, Pune. Dr Rajiv topped the list of successful candidates of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission and joined B J Medical College, Pune. His total teaching experience, to date is 32 years.<\/p>\n

He was invited by the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman from 1992 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 1996, where his work was highly appreciated. On completion of this assignment, Dr Rajiv conceptualized & established the Faculty of Health & Biological Sciences at the Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune which provides on campus healthcare services, offers academic programmes pertinent to the health care sector & undertakes community oriented health care research projects.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_background” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1\/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]\n

Dr Rajiv has been a member of various Governmental bodies including Board of Governors of the Medical Council of India (MCI), Governing Council of Consultancy Development Centre (CDC), DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Central Supervisory Board \u00e2\u20ac\u201c PCPNDT, Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC), Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC).<\/p>\n

Dr Rajiv is a member of various professional bodies like the Federation of Obstetric & Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI); Indian Society for Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM); Society for Emergency Medicine in India (SEMI); Indian Healthcare Quality Forum (IHCQF), Indian Medical Association (IMA) & non-governmental organizations like FICCI, NATHEALTH etc. Dr Rajiv is also a Member, Managing Committee, Symbiosis Society & Board of Management, Symbiosis International University.<\/p>\n

Currently the Dean of Faculty of Health & Biological Sciences, SIU, Dr Rajiv\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s core area of research is public health with special focus on health promotion.
