Dr. Heslegrave is currently the Corporate Chief of Research at the William Osler Health System in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where he is establishing a research program with international partnerships. Previously, he was a Senior Scientist at the University Health Network where he provided ethics oversight for Canada largest biomedical research facility.<\/p>\n
Recently he was appointed as the Inaugural Executive Director for Clinical Trials Ontario supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation to make the Province of Ontario a preferred location for global clinical trials.<\/p>\n
He established the governance structure, its mandate, a 5-year strategic plan, and acquired funding support this initiative. Dr. Heslegrave has chaired Research Ethics Boards for over 25 years.<\/p>\n
