Dr. Anjana Batni has experience working in both industry and academia as a researcher in molecular biology and immunology. Her expertise is in microbial and animal genetic engineering and immunology, with special focus on developing therapeutic drugs and vaccines. She pursued Biotechnology at Bachelors and Masters levels (Mysore University gold medalist) and her doctoral\/PhD research (winner of Marie Curie Fellowship Grant, EU Framework VI) was in the field of Developing Improved Tuberculosis Vaccines at the Vlaams Institute for Biotechnologie (VIB), Belgium. Dr. Anjana work at Biocon Ltd, Bangalore, focused on developing anti-cancer biologicals (protein\/enzyme inhibitors). She received the BioContribute Award for Contribution to Research at Biocon Ltd. She built a wide variety of technical skills and also has experience in guiding undergraduate and graduate students as well as leading teams of research scientists in the industry.
