Maj Gen Jagtar Singh, an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College Pine, was commisioned in Army Medical Corps in 1981. After doing his mandatory basic courses, the Generak Offr was selected to undergo paratrooper training in 1981 and has taken part in various airborne exercises. He has served on deputation to sultanate of Oman Land Forces for 4 years.<\/p>\n
Maj Gen Jagtar Singh, is also an alumnus of prestigious Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) Wellington and qualified in Masters in Defence and Strategic Studies Administration from AFMC Pune. The General Offr is a WHO Fellow in Health Economics having done the studies at Chulalongkom University, Bangkok, Thailand and an assessor for NABH.<\/p>\n

He has been the Senior Registrar of 92 valley and has successfully commanded the 600 bedded Military Hospital Ambala. For his dedication and utmost devotion to duty, the General Offr has been awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal, Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card twice and GOC-in-CARTRAC Commendation Card.
