Session 2 : Innovations for hospitals and insurance companies

This session has been the first session of InnoHEALTH conference right from its inception. Hospitals are key stakeholders to bring systematic change in the health system in a country like India, especially from optimizing the cost and improving the quality of care.

There are around 500 accredited hospitals in the country majority of them privately owned. Accreditation has provided a predictable framework for quality of care and the private ownership of hospitals in India allows them to innovate faster. This differentiates it from countries where healthcare is mostly publicly owned and pace of innovation might not be that fast. While, India has its own issues and challenges this session focuses on innovative solutions for the tertiary care in the country!

InnoHEALTH sees this session as an intervention to bring best of the world’s innovations to decision makers and also best of innovations from the Indian hospitals to the world.

Indian care providers have made their mark world over with innovative care delivery models, which has made India as a role model for service innovation. The best academics flock to India to get inspired and propagate the good practices.
